About

I consider myself lucky, because my work coincides with my hobby. My education and many years of experience have helped me to develop a specific prioritization system in my work.

First and foremost development starts with a conceptual design which must fit the architecture of the surrounding buildings, its practical uses and be in harmony with the rest of the area.

Second, an evaluation of the peculiarities of each land plot (such as the type of soil, its depth, the humidity, whether there are any special landforms, the environment) and keeping in mind the weather differences in our seasons.

And last but not least, my attention focuses on your wishes and preferences.

Of course the landscape should have a decorative view continuously thoughout the year.

I realize this all in practice with a team of professional gardeners, dendrologists (botanists specialized in bigger plants and trees), agricultural technicians, irrigation and water object experts.

My Vision

Throughout the years I’ve been working on various projects. Examples are office buildings, residential areas, kindergardens, restaurants and shopping malls. But by far most projects have been for private residences. With private plots usually a landscape architect is invited when the construction of a house is already finished and the road and paths are already in place. Sometimes there are some outbuildings already as well such as a garage, an arbor, etc. The dream of every landscape architect is to start their work at the right moment, ideally at the stage when the building design has just been started or at least at the start of the construction works. In this case there is an opportunity to foresee the most optimal and harmonic position of every element.

For example, planning the location for a fruit or herb garden on the south side, making sure that there will be a beautiful view from all the windows of the house, the terrace as well as from an arbor. Ensuring beforehand that the paths, an alpine rock garden, flower beds, swimming pools or a playground for children are placed not only comfortably and functionally but also in a balanced way. I think that the most important part of landscape design is creating space. Sometimes it can seem very simple and natural or on the contrary very regular and organized, but regardless of what design style was chosen, all the elements should be placed in such a way that all together it will create a harmony of a special personal place. After the structure of a garden has been defined the only thing which is left is filling it with colors, scents and shapes. This is why it is so important to plan and project all the important elements from the very beginning.
